Spring Cleaning

The sun is out and with it I have seen a few Domestic fairies in their distinctive maid uniform finery. They have the keenest eyes for dirt and grime and love nothing more than swinging on a dusty cobweb before swishing it away with their trusty feather dusters. If you have one of these in your house you will find that Spring Cleaning is a lot easier to tackle !  The beehive fairy above keeps her fairy dust in her matchbox bed and leaves a twinkle where ever she goes.

The tiny Domestic that I spotted below was giving the silver a very good going over with her tiny duster. Check out your  cutlery drawers for similar behaviour.

With all the buds and blossom beginning to emerge I managed to gather some 'Sprigs and Shoots ' for this fairy box. These girls were very happy with their new dried seed and flower wings and outfits.

Also spotted this month was this Marigold fairy amongst the Forget -Me- Nots ...

and showing off her new outfit is Forget- Me- Not herself .

I have also recently discovered that all the fairies around me are becoming rather scholarly. I think that one of them has started a book club and they just can't seem to put their books down, so I have given them some little wooden spindle seats with their names on so that they are comfortable in their new hobby. These fairies are in the Open House at Cherry Picked For You in Hove and are £20. Reading from left to right we have Heather in her plaid skirt and tam-o'-shanter , Clementine in a Liberty print dress and Virginia in a summer check with velvet hat.

Next in line is Jade in a kingfisher blue silk dress and jacket, Chloe in grey chiffon and Cherry Plum in lilac silk and cashmere cardigan. They are all approximately 10cms high.

The reading continues late into the night and these bedtime fairies are sitting in vintage matchboxes covered in fairy tale book excerpts. They are £12 .

I'm starting to get worried that these fairies are going to need glasses before too long ... these fairy beds are covered in silk and paper coverlets and they have their names inside the box ... also £12 - these book worms are looking for a book- loving human who will take them on trips to the library.

Some more flower fairies were just itching to show you their Spring clothes . These are hydrangea fairies in a box called ' Little Blues'. £40

Popping by to say goodbye are two little details from the ' Sprigs and Shoots '.
Don't forget to keep your eyes out for fairy activity - when the sap is rising it is a very good time of the year to spot them  !

Hi Lesley!
My, you've certainly been busy lately. I love the results, and am once again so inspired by your work.

I love all of them! Is the little one in the spoon with the duster for sale?
